Christmas 2008

Merry Christmas everyone! Once again we hit the best time of the year in my way of thinking. I love Christmas. This year we were able to spend a week with Lonnie and Debbie at their home. Trevell, Carien, Addie and Brodie came over several times during the week. Dexter and I spent part of the 26th with Trevell and Carien and children.. Darin, Dusty, Jersey, Skyler and Corbin braved the winter road conditions coming from Fruita, Colorado to be with us Sunday the 21st and Monday the 22nd. We all had a good time. It usually only takes 2 1/2 hours to get to Roosevelt from Fruita. But going home for Darin and Dusty it took them a good 9 hours. That was how bad the storm and roads were. They made it....and it sounded like Santa made it to their home also.
December 23rd my Aunt Alice Knowles died at 7:45 p.m.
Lonnie, Debbie, Trevell, Carien, Dexter and I had gone to the Vernal Temple. We went to the 6:30 session. It was wonderful that we were able to go together.

Temple Square Christmas lights

I had meant to post these picture's before now. But as you all know this time of the year is the busiest....Teresa had me go with her and the children to Salt Lake December 4th and 5th, 2008. She had a meeting to go to Friday morning. So Thursday we went to the Gateway Mall which was decorated up for the Christmas season. Brooklyn had a great time. She just loves the malls....Kathy and Tucker Glaze met us there. After the mall we went to Temple Square to see the lights. It was bitter cold but we enjoyed them none the less. Salt Lake Temple was brilliant and beautiful to view.

Just some of the beautiful lights....

There were many manger scenes from around the world. Of course I did not get pictures of them all because my battery died in the camera. Shame on me.

Carson was being such a good boy. He was just so patient with us all.

Shepards watching there flocks by night..

Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus aflot on the water. It was just breath taking..the picture does not do it justice.

The Nativity on Temple Sauare, SLC, Utah...December 2008

The shepards coming to the beside of Jesus.

Isn't this picture beautiful. I believe the church magazine has a picture just like this one in there Church News ....

Kathy, Tucker, Brooklyn and Teresa with baby Carson in the stroller. We had gone into the Tabernacle...We also were able to go into the Assembly Hall which was beautiful also. There was a choir singing there. We all had a good time. Friday while Teresa was at her meeting Brooklyn,Carson and I went to the Village Inn for breakfast. My goodness I forgot how heavy a baby was while carrying him in his car seat ....Brooklyn was a big help. Then we went shopping again at the mall on 106th in Salt Lake.
