I am not sure what happened to the last part of my paragraph. You can't see it....What it said was that the kids had a good time sleeping in tents out on the North Lawn. It rained the night of the 4th so they slept in the house on the floor.
There is a fire on top of the mountain here. Dexter says it looks like it might be around Bear Hollow. We will keep you informed .

4th of July 2009
Like Debbie WOW where has all the time gone...We had a great fourth of July weekend. Darin, Dusty , Skyler, Corbin and Jersey. Teresa, Brooklyn and Carson came too. Teresa Came up Wenesday night so that we could go to the Open House for the Oquirrh Mountain Temple. It was very very nice. Deena followed us up with her boys. Afterwards we went to lunch at Apple bees. And Costco was a must. Then we picked up Tucker, Kathy's boy who also spent the week end here..Everyone enjoyed the parade, picnic up Chalk Creek Canyon at Copleys...Then the fireworks that night. Of course Grandma had a melt down so to speak and wasn't very nice before we went to the fireworks and I do apologise. I chalk it up to heat, and menopause. Sorry. I do try to control....but it didn't work this time.
The kids had a good time sleeping out on the North lawn in tents. It did rain very hard the night of the 4th so they had to find places on the floor in the living room....
We missed not seeing the rest of the family, poor Krystin had chicken pox so Lonnie and Debbie thought they should stick around home. Next year....
I forgot my camera so no pictures. But Dusty took some real nice ones. Check her blog for them.
The wind is blowing and it looks like there is a fire on top of the mountain. Dexter says that it looks like it might be around Bear Hollow. We will fill you in as we get reports.

Camping trip June 13-16th 2009
We had a very nice week-end camping. We were supposed to go to Vernal and camp with Trevell and Carien and family. But the weather was going to be to rainy and cold so we decided to go south were the climate was warmer right? Wrong! We ended up at Kolob Resivor down by Zions National Park. We drove to Lava Butte look out and took some pictures of the back side of Zions Park. It was cold. But the scenery was beautiful. Teresa, Tim, Brooklyn and Carson came by Saturday night and we had a nice dinner. Then Darve and Joanie stopped by for 10 or 15 minutes.
Sunday we took a 4 wheeler ride up around Cedar Mountain. Again scenery was beautiful but cold. As you can see from the pictures the wild flowers were out in full bloom. There is an island in the middle of the lake. Would have been fun to have had a canoe. We left Monday morning and headed to Teresas' to wash two blankets that KaChing threw up on...Yuck!!! She must have found some dead fish or fish guts that made her sick. We then headed for the famous Mormon Honey Moon Trail. We were going to ride up the trail Tuesday, but I had such a bad headache that we decided against it. Besides it looked like it was going to rain again. Camping by the trail was nice. No traffic, and it was warm warm warm....In one of the pictures you see the camper and truck stuck in red sand. Lucky for us Tim came with his Tahoe and pulled us out. We drove Tuesday on over to Fredonia and then on down Highway 89. We stopped in Kanab and toured one of the old time cowboy movie sets . We played tourist. Then we went on down to Pink Coral Sandunes State Park. Thinking that we would stay the night and then ride some of the trails there. But having the experience of getting stuck in sand we couldn't find a solid piece of ground to camp on so we drove on down 89 and on home. Oh by the way it rained on and off all the way home....

Everyone was so thoughtful this year. Phone calls, cards, email cards, flowers from Lonnie's family, Darve and Joanie gave me a book, gift card to Barnes and Noble and a wind chiime made of a glass floater and sea shells. Trevell and Carien gave me some cool hangers for my closet. Teresa took us to lunch Tuesday. Dad took me to breakfast this morning so as you can see I have been royally spoiled for the day. Thank you everyone of you...I love you all . And OH take a look at whats sitting in the wood shed. Just scroll down..or up which ever way I have done this,..

Easter 2009

We had a great time over Easter weekend this year. Everyone was able to come except Darin and Dusty and there children and Darve and Joanie. Maybe next year we can all get together....
We had a great time...Lonnie and Debbie rented two four wheelers and Tim brought his up from Washington, UT...it was a bit cold but between the clearing of the skies we all got a turn or two on them.
The kids had a great easter egg hunt in the rocks. It sure was fun to watch them hunt them up. Then Dexter and I had a easter egg hunt for the adults. And of course a good part of the eggs where filled with money. Was it ever fun to watch them try and find the two gold eggs and two silver eggs. And of course the last gold egg could not be found and I couldn't remember which crevice I had put it in....So everyone was on the hunt for it. It contained the 50.00 bill...Krystin was the winner of it she found it.
The food was good, company even better. I am posting a few pictures that I was able to take before my camera became to full....I

old memories
I thought you all might be interested in looking at some golden oldies...How time flies.
Dexter and I going to a church dance. December or January 1968-69.
My mother and I getting our picture taken. My mother sewed most all of my clothes including this dress that I am wearing.
My little brother Dan standing out back of the house near the grapevines. We had a great snow fall this particular year. The year was 1967. I remember that we were out of school for almost a week.

My house that I grew up in . Springfield, Oregon. The address at the time was 1050 Rainbow Dr.

The walnut orchard.

Lonnie Dexter Anderson. Visiting at Grandma and Grandpa Chases.

Lonnie, who was about 2 years old. He was fascinated with Grandpa's flocked tree.
