THE PERFECT CHRISTMAS TREE 2008

We went looking for the perfect Christmas tree with Darin and Dusty Wednesday the 26th 2008. We went to Shingle Mill Flats just south of I-70. Of course Darin and Dexter found one. They had it cut down before I could remember to get out of the truck and take pictures. Sorry. It was a beautiful tree and we had tons of fun. The roads were wet and slippery and it was so cold. We went Friday with Trevell and Carien up 8 mile just North of Holden...and I remembered to take pictures...Brody is saying, " I wanna go Dad."

So off we go up the hill and across the creek looking for the perfect tree. It was very cold.

Trevell looking? Yes I believe so...Dexter was not to far behind. They actually climbed up the side of the mountain...Dexter was able to climb ....I think actually Trevell was saying, " I spy my Christmas tree." ONWARD!!

After pulling the tree down the hill here is the result.... It was worth the hike..

You would think that they had just bagged a four point during the hunting season. Oh we had a good time.

Wait was this the Chevy Christmas vacation story? Trevell ended up cutting a foot off of the bottom to get it to ride nicely in the back of the truck..

My work here is done....home again home again and away we did drive.
